Sunday 12th October 2008 — Teatime Concert
We entertained an invited audience of family and friends at a tea-time concert, complete with buffet tea. We debuted two new pieces, and were joined by the children in the audience for a medley from The Sound of Music. See us in action.
Sunday 6th July 2008 — Teatime Concert for St. Luke's Hospice
One week after our summer concert, we did it all again! This time, performing at Kenton Methodist Church, we were raising money for charity, with all profits going to St. Luke’s Hospice, Kenton Grange.
Saturday 28th June 2008 — Midsummer Music
We sang to a full church at St. Mary's Church, Harrow-on-the-Hill for our summer concert this year. With accompaniment by Carey Luce on piano and Tom Penn on percussion, we performed a lively programme including a medley from The Sound of Music, a medley of Andrew Lloyd Webber songs, and a choreographed performance of In the Mood. This was tempered by more classical pieces, such as Faure’s Tantum Ergo and Bob Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass.
Saturday 17th May 2008 — Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts
1st place in the Ladies Choirs class! (We sang Tantum Ergo, What Shall we Do with the Drunken Sailor?, and In the Mood.)
2nd place in the Open Choirs class! (We sang Rhythm of Life and How Can I Keep from Singing?)
Jubilate were jubilant!
Saturday 26th April 2008 — Spring Concert
We performed our Spring concert on a beautiful day at Holy Trinity Church in the village of Hawley, Blackwater, Hampshire. With some jazz, and traditional tunes, along with a good mix of songs from the shows, there was something for everyone.
