Jubilate Juniors
Jubilate Juniors, the youthful 'offshoot of Jubilate, was formed in September 2008 after Jubilate's MD decided to spread the success of the choir's success. Sarah says,"The reason we started JJs is because so many of the ladies' children were so interested in singing - they twisted my arm and I eventually realised what a good idea it was!"
In its first year, JJs made five public appearances, including its debut at Jubilate's Christmas concert and appearances with some of Harrow's best-known adult choirs. JJs also took part in the Music for Youth Regional Festival in Bedford, where it received much praise. Aimed at children aged 7-11 (school years 3-6) the choir, affectionately known as JJs, already numbers more than 15. Meeting every other Saturday afternoon, JJs sings songs from all over the world, as well as numbers from musicals, including The Sound of Music, Oliver! and The Lion King, and songs written especially for choirs. Apart from energy and enthusiasm, all that's needed is a water bottle and a pencil (music and folders are provided).
JJs meets every other Saturday afternoon from 3pm-4.30pm in the hall of Christ Church, Harrow. Fees are £45 per term, or £40 for a second child in the family. If you have any questions about JJs, please contact Choir Manager Ninoska Leppard on 07967 810210 or contact us.
